Paul Darcy Cole, age 54 of Pounding Mill, Virginia, made his heavenly flight on Sunday, November 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Born April 21, 1959 in Richlands, Virginia he was the son of Dorothy Cole Rose and husband Bobby of Reynolds Ridge, Virginia and the late Curtis Cole. He was a 1977 graduate of Richlands High School where he was a member of the Richlands High School wrestling team. Paul was a loving son, dad, brother and papaw. He attended and was a member of the Reynolds Ridge Community Church. He was employed by XMV, Inc.

In addition to his dad he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Cole; one niece, Mary Ann Crawford-Singleton and one nephew, Bradley Cole and special aunts and uncles.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one loving son, Chad Cole and wife, Emily of Raven, VA; one special granddaughter, Sadie Elizabeth Cole of Raven, VA; three sisters, Linda Crawford and husband, Paul David of Richlands, Freda Smith and husband, Johnny of Troutdale, VA and Carol Effler and husband, Lawrence of King, NC; one brother, Donnie Cole and wife, Lisa of Reynolds Ridge, VA; one sister-in-law, Mary Cole of Cedar Bluff, VA; special friend, Angela Welch; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who he loved dearly. Special thanks to the nurses at CVMC, ICU namely Melissa Vicars, Teri Brown, Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Ahmed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Craig Barber and Pastor Lonnie Perkins officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
